THE MIRACLE CONTINUES

THE MIRACLE CONTINUES

Much has been said and shared about the “miracle of the multiplication of the bread and fish.” But more than the miracle, two things are remarkably outstanding in the gospel: Jesus’ unconditional love for His people whom He would not allow to go hungry as they tirelessly sought Him out to listen to Him and the sharing of His task to the disciples when He commissioned them as He said, “Kayo ang magbigay sa kanila ng makakain.”

Hindi niya hahayaang magutom at magdusa ang mahal niyang mga tagasunod. Ito’y isang mailinaw na paglalarawan ng di masusukat at di mapapantayang pag-ibig ni Hesus.

This is the same love of Jesus, which the second reading says that once we have, it will not be taken away from us. Ang pag-ibig ng Diyos ay panamatagalan–pangmagpakailanman para sa maga nakadarama at nakararanas nito.

When He commissioned His apostles to feed the people, we are also being commissioned to spread the love of God to the poor, the hungry,  the sick, and all other less privileged.

Once a priest went to a watch repair shop where he left his damaged wristwatch to be repaired. The following day, the priest returned to get his watch. Seeing that his watch was indeed successfully repaired the priest asked, “Magkano po"?  The watch mechanic answered, “Limang daan piso po.”

The pruest, shocked but composed, protested, “Para ni-repair mo lang ng kaunti limanggdaang piso na? The repair man answered. "Noong dalhin po ninyo ang relo ninyo kahapon ay patay ho yan. Ngayong kinukuha na ninyo sa halagang limangdaang piso lamang ay buhay na. Eh yung tatay ko po noong pumasok sa simbahan at pinagmisahan ay patay pa rin at siningil ninyo ng isang libong piso. Noong lumabas siya sa simbahan ay patay pa rin siya. Ngayon po limang daan lang sinisingil ko sa inyo umaangal pa kayo!

Fr. Boyet Concepion, know as the “Mother Teresa of Bulacan” never seems to get tired of serving the poor, the aged, the sick, the homeless, His person exudes simplicity and low profile. He evades praises and is convinced that what he is doing is just what every Christian should do. No wonders, just like in the Convent of the Missionaries of Charity, his wards receive countless love offerings wanting to share in the spreading of the love of God, which would not be taken away.

Mother Teresa Fr. Boyet Concepcion and  the countless generous individuals who generously give are partakers in the love of Jesus. You ca see Jesus in them. They took to themselves the order of Jesus. “kayo ang magpakain sa kanila” As a result, they  all turned out to be happy servants of the hungry and poor-all happy givers. For no one can ever describe the joy of being able to give,of being a part of the Church of and for the Poor. Jesus miracle continues to flourish and is sill happening now.
