Masamang Damo… Hayaang Lumago

Masamang Damo… Hayaang Lumago

God allows the bad to co-exist the good. There must be some reasons. While it may sound impossible, the good ones may still influence the bad weeds.

Such is the message of the gospel. God does not simply ignore and readily dismiss the erring ones. He lovingly wins them back and slowly molds them to righteousness. After all, Jesus Himself said, “Sick people need doctor…”He came for sinners. He came to save them.

The gospel describes God’s patience. When things seem too slow and we find some people seemingly incapable of redemption and simply hopeless, God works wonders in His own time. He patiently prunes us and makes us realize our own iniquities and shortcomings. He allows it to happen. To some, for a short period of time. To others, it take longer. But he waits. He lovingly waits. He patiently gives His wayward children to discover the beauty of redemption and the depth of God’s love.

The way of the Prodigal son was tedious one. He did not see the light right away. He went through indescribable agony and pain. It was a difficult learning experience. But his Father allowed him to leave and go his wayward away. Because deep inside his heart, he would be waiting… patiently waiting for his return and transformation into a changed man. Such is the patience of God.
