Hosted Valentine's Day Celebration

There are many ways of expressing our love, care, concern and compassion for others, from a simple greeting to sacrificing our life for another.

Valentine's Day is an occasion to remind all of us to show our love for others and spread good cheers everyday. The Shrine of Our Lady of Grace had a different way of celebrating Valentine's Day last February 14, 2012. There was a Thanksgiving Mass attended mostly by couples (husband and wife), Fr. Eleno S. Balboa, OMI officiated the mass and stressed the importance of love in any relationship. The "public confession" of couples John and Pat Fortes added joy to the celebration. Patience, understanding, trust, sacrifice and love are the binding factors why their marriage last up to this time. Having eight (8) children proved that loved for each other is worthy.

The re-telling of their story as married couple, inspired the other couples who had just "renewed their marriage vows"

A Valentine's Party at the Parish Gym followed after the Eucharistic Celebration. It was a night of fun and laughter, dancing and singing, games and raffle. Surprised numbers were performed by different groups. It is worth mentioning that the success of the event was through the "love and sacrifice" of the Family and Life couples headed by chair-couple Michael and Rona Lim.
