Medical Mission at the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace
February 12, 2012 Sunday was a very busy day for the people of the parish at the Charity Clinic.
Patnubay Sa Ating Kalusugan, a Special Community Health Program, inspired by the Parish Priest Fr. Eleno S. Balboa, OMI in coordination with the Social Service Development Ministry (SSDM) of the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace, hosted the medical mission.
The diagnostic package includes ECG, Fasting Blood Sugar, Total Cholesterol, Blood Urea Nitrogen, SGPT, Uric Acid and Urinalysis for a minimal fee of Php 200.00. There was a free Blood Pressure Check-up and Free Eye Refraction.
Additional tests like Chest X-Ray, Creatinine Test and others were offered with additional payments.
Sto. Domingo Diagnostic and Medical Center Corp. conducted the medical test.
Parishioners and applicants came as early as 5:00 A.M. for the medical tests which lasted up to 10:00 A.M. Although there were so many who came to avail of the low price, members of the SSDM under the leadership of Sis. Emily Tipones, made themselves available all throughout the process to have an organized and systematic procedure, assisting the applicants where to proceed after each test from one place to another.
